
About Origin Storage
In the beginning
Origin Storage Ltd is a company born from the brand name Origin Storage Solutions,
which covers the supply of Hard Drive Solutions to major computer manufacturers.
Origin Storage Solutions have been successfully selling for five years since the
brand was developed into an individual business. As the business expanded a
handpicked team was chosen to bring experience in component knowledge, compatibility,
product sourcing and assembly. Since our humble beginnings Origin has continued to
expanded into the storage arena, partnering with unique manufactures and offering a
wide range of services and solutions.
Origin and Amacom
In January 2006 Origin announced that it had acquired the rights and assets of Amacom
Technologies in a deal signed following Amacom's voluntary liquidation in late 2005. The
acquisition gave Origin the rights to manufacture and distribute Amacom's award winning
range of portable data storage solutions including the Flip2disk, IODisk and EZ2Disk. This
deal allowed Origin to expand and grow in new areas in the shape of mail order, retail and
corporate markets. The Amacom brand has enabled the company to reach a new, large and loyal
customer base and build on its existing relationships with OEM and distribution.
What we're doing now
Due to the overwhelming success of Origin Storage Ltd the company moved to larger premises
in late 2006. Expansion plans have continued with the opening of a Satellite office in the
Netherlands during 2007. With Increasing business Origin introduced a major upgrade to the
business in the way of a state of the art Order & Stock Management system during 2008. Now in
2009 and the company's 8th trading year, Origin has become firmly established as one of Europe's
leading manufacturers for tier 1 matched hard drive solutions. With additions to our product
portfolio such as the Data Locker PIN encrypted hard drive, Origin are poised to expand into the data security
market through 2009 and beyond.
